Happy Holidays from Intellicore Design Consulting

It’s that most wonderful time of the year and we at Intellicore Design Consulting hope that everyone has had and will continue to have a wonderful holiday season.  We also hope you've had a great year in spite of the some of the economic road bumps.

We certainly have -- and we have y'all to thank for that.

Cynthina Heinsohn and I (re)launched Intellicore Design Consulting this fall because we wanted to do something different.  We wanted to help businesses accelerate their connections to their communities while advancing their own business opportunities.

We’re off to a grand start.  In the process, we’ve also had the opportunity to meet lots of new folks that we wouldn’t have met had we not stepped off into consulting.

To all our new friends, and those new folks we hope to meet soon, may you and yours have a fabulous holiday season.

P.S.  I just had to post this….For the first time in about a gajillon years, it "snowed" down 'round Houston, Texas where the sun shines most of the time it.

This is a pic of Shelby, Lady of the Hunt, who had issues with the snow at Cynthina’s lakefront spread.

P.S.S.  To those of us that currently live or have lived in places like New England or the Rockies, please humor Cynthina.

Egg on my face - Try our webinars again

Who boy, sometimes you think you have it all covered only to discover that...kersplat...you don't.

We released numerous webinars this month, loaded them up to our Resources section of our website, and yours truly made some mistakes so the pages didn't load.

That means all you interested folks who tried to take a gander at our webinars were unable to get in to view them.

First off, thanks for taking an interest and trying to do so - and mucho apologies for the problem that prevented you from doing so.

I invite you to try again though since I fixed the problem. Here are our current titles of the most interest:

  • Customer Service Automation 101 -- Salesforce.com tips for effective and efficient service managemen.

  • Tips for Successful Salesforce.com Implementations -- Managing change relative to Salesforce.com implementations.

Go to our Resources page, and then click on the webinar of interest. Oh yeah, you'll need to register first if you'd like to view the webinars.

How to ensure an IT implementation success

A Michael Krigsman article, published in TechRepublic, caught my attention because of the rather observation that  68 percent of IT projects fail.  Holy moly that sent me bopping ‘round to IAG Consulting, the original source of that yucky stat.

Based on their research, IAG found that the most common source of failure is poor requirements definition processes.  Put another way, the 32% of the companies most likely to succeed when it comes to IT implementations are those that have engaged in strong requirements definition processes.

While I haven’t undertaken rigorous study of the subject as IAG seems to, it does back up what I’ve learned from personal experience in my own past solution implementations.  And it backs up a cornerstone belief of Intellicore Design Consulting.

To ensure that your company falls with the successful 32% relative to Salesforce.com solutions, check out our recent webinar on Tips for Successful Salesforce.com Implementations....

4 tips for building strong customer relationships using online communities

The Internet is a good news bad news invention.  The good news is that is gives companies greater outreach than we’ve ever had before and that’s beneficial either to provide or acquire services and products.  The bad news about the Internet, though, is that it can create a lot of clutter.

To ensure your company and its messages are heard, you need a strong foundation that will allow your company to rise above the clutter.  There are a number of strategies to accomplish this goal but, in my mind, the foundation requires a strong relationship with your customers and prospects.

One approach to construct this foundation is via online communities.  Let’s talk about how....
